We are proud to announce immediate availability of version 1.1 of the online reference grammar of the Hawaiian language, developed to aid students learning the language as well as instructors and researchers. Version 1.1 incorporates the ideas and suggestions we have received since version 1.0.

We ourselves are students of the language at various levels, at both the University of Hawaii Maui College and Mānoa. The creation of the reference grammar was motivated by our desire to consolidate multiple sources of information into a single, online, and searchable document . The information contained in the reference grammar includes that which we were exposed to in years 1-4 and beyond of nā papa ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, as well as research and consultation with earlier publications.
