Reference Grammar of the Hawaiian Language

Me ka hauʻoli, kūkala aku nō mākou i ka hoʻolaha ʻana i kekahi palapala pilinaʻōlelo kūmole kau pūnaewele no ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. Ua kākau ʻia i mea e kōkua ai i ka poʻe haumāna ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, ka poʻe kumu, a me ka poʻe noiʻi nō hoʻi.
He mau haumāna ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi nō mākou ma nā kulanui o Hawaiʻi ma Maui a me Mānoa. Ua makemake loa mākou e hoʻohui ā hoʻopaʻa i kekahi mau kumu ʻike like ʻole ma loko o kahi palapala kau pūnaewele. Hiki ke huli i nā pilina a me nā huaʻōlelo ma loko o ka palapala pilinaʻōlelo. We are pleased to announce the availability of an online reference grammar of the Hawaiian language, developed to aid students learning the language as well as instructors and researchers.
We ourselves are students of the language at various levels, at both the University of Hawaii Maui College and Mānoa. The creation of the reference grammar was motivated by our desire to consolidate multiple sources of information into a single, online, and searchable document . The information contained in the reference grammar includes that which we were exposed to in years 1-4 of nā papa ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, as well as research and consultation with previous publications.
